Alan Flaumenhaft, Chief Executive Officer

Alan has over 20 years of experience in the managed care industry. He has held prominent roles in for-profit and not-for-profit managed care organizations, including Aetna/U.S Healthcare and HIP Health Plans of New York and Florida.

Alan oversaw successful sales units where he was responsible for expansion of both commercial and Medicare product lines. Later, he was responsible for a large customer-service center for over one million managed care members.

Alan’s experience in sales, management and executive leadership service in the healthcare industry led to founding Freedom Disability in 2002.

It was Alan’s vision to provide an innovative approach to Social Security Disability representation. Alan fundamentally believed that having a professionally trained Advocate to help individuals with disabilities get through each stage of the complicated application process for disability benefits, would result in superior service and greater success rates. His vision became reality. Freedom Disability helps thousands of individuals every month win disability benefits and has achieved an A-plus rating from the Better Business Bureau.

Alan is involved in Freedom Disability’s day-to-day operations and is its strategic visionary.

Jonathan Mayhew, President

Jon has had an extensive 20-year background in managed health care services, including strong emphasis on government programs.

Prior to joining Freedom Disability, Jon was the Senior Vice President for Managed Care Products at CIGNA Healthcare. His responsibilities there included strategic oversight of the company’s HMO, PPO, indemnity, and government programs. He directed managed care programs that encompassed over 13 million lives, representing in excess of $700 million in earnings and $20 billion in revenue annually.

Before his tenure at CIGNA, Jon was the senior vice president of Aetna’s Southern California healthcare operations.

As president of Freedom Disability, Jon oversees the development, implementation and ongoing operations of all Freedom Disability services.

Sean Libby, Vice President, Corporate Development

Sean has been with Freedom Disability from its beginning in 2002. Sean oversees the marketing, sales and account management teams, drives the company’s new-product initiatives, and is responsible for developing innovative ways to better serve the disability community.

Sean is an experienced marketer with a particular focus in developing and implementing customer acquisition and retention strategies for emerging companies and markets. Prior to joining Freedom Disability, Sean developed and managed the sales department for BridgePath, a business-to-business exchange in the staffing industry.
