Freedom Disability Hiring in 2010 to Help More People Get Disability Benefits

At Freedom Disability we are looking forward to the New Year as an opportunity for us to help more people with disabilities get the benefits they deserve.
How will we do that? We plan to hire more Social Security Disability Insurance (SSDI) experts who know how to prepare high-quality SSDI applications the first time.
Freedom Disability provides education and representation to help people with disabilities file for benefits from the Social Security Administration (SSA). There are a growing number of people in need of the services we provide.
More than 2.6 million SSDI claims were filed in 2008, an increase of nine percent over the last five years. As baby boomers reach their fifties and sixties, that number is spiraling up. (The average age of a person receiving disability benefits is 52.6) The surge in claims is further complicated by SSA’s requirement that applications be as complete as possible to get through the decision process. Many first-time applications are denied because information is incomplete, contributing to a serious SSDI backlog of appeals from the millions of people who believe they qualify for benefits. We want to help with that. We also want to help more people get jobs.
According to the United States Department of Labor Bureau of Labor Statistics, the national unemplyment rate topped in November at 10 percent. The year 2009 will be remembered as the year of layoffs.
We are not deterred by the current economic climate. Freedom Disability is hiring in 2010. We will be pulling talented people, with work backgrounds in social services and health care, from the ranks of the unemployed so that we can increase our abilities to meet the needs of so many who are trying to get disability benefits.
If you or someone you know has a disability, we invite you to get to know us better. Follow us on Facebook and Twitter and our Web site.
