Physical Issues not a Problem at Freedom Disability

 

At Freedom Disability we are committed to employing people with disabilities. Recently, I had a chance to talk about this on the radio program, “Physical Issues” with Don Adams.  It was a great opportunity to explain why we think employers should be more open to hiring people with disabilities, and I was pleased to do it.

I talked about some of the programs employers should be aware of, including the Ticket to Work program administered by the Social Security Administration.  Ticket to Work allows people receiving Social Security Disability benefits to attempt to return to the workforce while maintaining benefits.   I also talked about the “Think Beyond the Label” employer awareness campaign going on right now. I’m hoping employers will check it out and start thinking about what more they can do to hire persons with disabilities.
